  • oh Nebraska...

I haven't xanga'd in a while, but i thought that this was worth posting.

Nebraska State Senator Ernie Chambers is trying to sue God.

click here to read the article.

Sure he's trying to make a point regarding another case he disagrees with but it is ridiculous nonetheless.  The state of Nebraska should be ashamed.  I hope the courts of Nebraska will take care of this lawsuit with the same decisiveness that the USC Trojans demonstrated on the football field against their beloved Cornhuskers last Saturday.  Ernie Chambers...go shuck some corn and think about the spectacle you're making of yourself.

Question: So if you're trying to sue God for being responsible for causing "widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth's inhabitants, fearsome floods, horrendous hurricanes, and terrifying tornadoes," does that mean you do or don't believe in God?

  • so i've turned nocturnal.  i always thought i worked best in the mornings as the sun rises with a cup of coffee by my side...but for this finals season, i've been able to be most productive in my room late at night with these little guys...

except that i've been drinking the new vitaminenergy drinks which are all natural. i couldn't find a pic of em, but this one is probably a milder, less potent version.  so if you're an energy drink junkie...stop drinking those red bull/rockstar/throttles cause they're probably bad for you! try new vitaminenergy loaded with natural caffeine, c and b vitamins, and ribose! haha.  hopefully these aren't bad for you...or i'm getting CRAZY DUPED!  wel, if they're good enough for brian urlacher and kelly clarkson...then i'm sold.  jeez i'm such a consumer.

  • The Suns got ROB-ed!

So Robert Horry is suspended for 2 games for his flagrant foul on Nash.  That's fine cause Horry was being a punk.  and honestly, the spurs will be fine without him.  actually he might have just sealed the series for the spurs.

But Amare and Diaw are suspended for one game going into game 5 of a 2-2 Series for getting up off the bench and but doing nothing?!?!  The NBA had mine as well give the series to San Antonio! I do not think that the suns can maintain any presence in the paint without Amare.

David Stern and the NBA are a joke.  i guess this is a classic example of misunderstanding the spirit of the law vs. the letter of the law.  but even the biggest foolio knows that the right thing to do was NOT to suspend amare and diaw.  they didn't throw a punch, push anyone, or even get in an opponents face. all they did was get riled up (justifiably) over Horry's dirty foul.  a fine would have been appropriate. no harm, no foul.  the pheonix coaches did a good job of keeping the Suns bench off the court and away from rockin Horry (who also threw an elbow at Raja Bell immediately after that play!)  man, where'd that angst come from bobby?  I thought you were classier than that.

this is why i'm all about college football and the NFL.  I'm glad the the NBA is struggling right now just to get ratings and save its product.  David Stern you can eat my shorts.

ALSO, though i didn't see it, i heard that earlier in the game, Tim Duncan was guilty of the same violation of getting up off the bench after some tough contact between some suns and spurs players.  if that's so, SUSPEND that fool too!  argh.

sorry, but i've been listening to a lot of sports talk radio and i was really hoping that the NBA would do the right thing on this case.  Bringing the hammer on every infaction is not doing the right thing for the sake of the game.  sometimes, you've got to let the players play and understand that preserving one of the most exciting series in the playoffs is more important than punishing two guys for getting up off their bench.  i'd love to see the suns boycott the series or do something DRASTIC.  Stern, what makes you think you can rule the NBA through fear?  Man, the NBA players union needs to man up, unify and learn something from the baseball and football unions where the players actually have some RIGHTS.

    AAAAHHHHH!!!
